About Us

 Mission Statement:

 The Cincinnati HealthCare Associates Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative existing for the benefits of its members.
Our goals are to:
  • Provide the best possible financial service to our members in an ever changing environment;
  • Be sensitive to the financial needs of our members;
  • Provide ongoing education and opportunities short and long term for member’s financial stability;
  • Strive to improve personalized service and convenience to members;
  • Maintain the Credit Union’s long-term financial stability.

Our Credit Union was originally chartered on January 3, 1973. Known as The Christ Hospital Employees Federal Credit Union it was founded with the intent of serving the employees of Christ Hospital. As time went on the Credit Union’s “Field of Membership” was expanded to meet the needs of the entire Christ Hospital campus.

Eventually the Field of Membership has grown to include the following entities and groups: Employees of the Christ Hospital, Employees of the Health Alliance (UC Health), Employees of Healthsouth Rehabilitation, Employees of the Elizabeth Gamble Deaconess Home Association, Physicians who practice medicine at the Christ Hospital, Members of Zion Baptist Church, Employees of Health Span and Trinity Home Infusion, Employees of Genesis Technology,  Employees of The Crossroads Center, Employees of BMF Pediatrics, Employees of Podiatry Associates, Christ Hospital Volunteers, Senior Care Preferred, Employees of various medical related doctors groups who practice in the Christ Hospital Medical Office Building (MOB), Employees of this Credit Union, Retirees and immediate families of members (spouse, Mother, Father, son, daughter).

 In 1995 the Board of Directors decided that the name Christ Hospital Employees Federal Credit Union no longer served a purpose and with the inception of the Health Alliance our name was officially changed to “ The Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati Employees Federal Credit Union”. In 2007 the name was changed to Cincinnati HealthCare Associates Federal Credit Union to better express who we really serve.


The Board of Directors of this, and every, Federal Credit Union are strictly volunteers. Board Members are elected by the membership at the Annual Meeting each year and are not compensated in any way. The same is true of other Credit Union volunteers such as the Supervisory Committee, Annual Meeting Committee, and so on.
Anyone interested in becoming a Credit Union Volunteer (Board of Director or Committee Member) should contact the Office for details. We are always looking for new members willing to help their Credit Union!
